The Accounting Manager will oversee all day-to-day management of the accounting area, which encompasses various functions including Procurement Finance, Accounts Payable (A/P), Fixed Assets, and Month End Close. This role is critical in ensuring that financial information is compiled and analyzed accurately to prepare entries to general ledger accounts. The Accounting Manager will coordinate the reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts, ensuring that all accounting transactions and journal entries comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies. In addition to compliance, the Accounting Manager will monitor actual expenses and assist management in developing, recommending, and implementing corrective actions to ensure that the results of operations align with the operating budget. This position also involves managing the budgeting and forecasting processes for the NSO Balance Sheet and assigned departments. The Accounting Manager will supervise and develop the accounting staff, leading them in various projects aimed at improving processes, implementing controls, and providing optimal service levels to the organization. Furthermore, the Accounting Manager will perform financial analysis and prepare reports that provide detailed cost information to both local and corporate management. They will oversee the month-end processing and reporting related to assigned departments and work closely with the Operations team to create and maintain an activity-based costing system for those departments.
