About the position

The Accounting Manager position at Robert Half is a contract-to-hire role within the Non-Profit industry, located in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is essential for managing accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial records, and maintaining effective internal control systems. The Accounting Manager will oversee various accounting operations and ensure compliance with GAAP principles while utilizing advanced accounting software and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operation of accounting software systems to ensure accurate record keeping and reporting of financial transactions.
  • Direct and control accounting functions to ensure the efficient operation of the accounting department.
  • Conduct auditing processes to ensure compliance and accuracy in accounting practices.
  • Supervise billing functions, ensuring invoices are issued and payments are received in a timely manner.
  • Manage GAAP Accounting principles to ensure standardization and compliance in all accounting tasks.
  • Conduct cash flow analysis to monitor the organization's financial status and make financial forecasts.
  • Oversee account reconciliation to ensure the accuracy of financial data and adherence to financial regulations.
  • Use ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems to integrate and manage business processes related to accounting.
  • Utilize ADP - Financial Services for payroll management and other human resource functions.
  • Implement BlackLine software for automating complex financial processes.
  • Use Concur software to manage employee expenses and invoice processes.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory - Netsuite is Preferred
  • Must have experience in handling various Accounting Functions
  • Expertise in Auditing is required
  • Familiarity with Billing Functions is essential
  • Should have a strong understanding of GAAP Accounting
  • Must be skilled in Cash Flow Analysis
  • Ability to handle Account Reconciliation effectively
  • Previous experience in a non-profit setup will be an advantage
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred
  • Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required.
