About the position

Are you a hands-on accounting professional ready to partner with our Controller in managing daily accounting operations? We're seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Manager who can both execute day-to-day accounting tasks and support higher-level financial reporting. If you have strong accrual accounting knowledge and enjoy rolling up your sleeves while also seeing the bigger picture, this role is for you! As our Accounting Manager, you'll work directly with the Controller to ensure smooth accounting operations while handling key responsibilities including AR/AP management, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. This is a unique opportunity to grow your skills across all aspects of accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily AR/AP operations.
  • Manage weekly payroll process with our outsourced provider, including data verification, reconciliation, and review of commission and bonus calculations.
  • Execute month-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations.
  • Assist the Controller with preparing and analyzing financial reports and statements under accrual accounting principles.
  • Monitor cash flow and banking activities, including bank reconciliations.
  • Identify and implement ways to streamline accounting processes and procedures.
  • Support the Controller with various accounting initiatives and analysis as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience with solid understanding of accrual accounting principles
  • Strong hands-on experience with AR/AP management and month-end close processes
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks preferred) and Excel
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Good communication skills and problem-solving ability
