The Accounting Manager is a pivotal role within the Finance Department, responsible for overseeing the financial accounting and reporting functions of the organization. This position ensures the accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting of financial information, which is critical for informed decision-making and strategic planning. The Accounting Manager will prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, while conducting financial analysis to provide insights to senior management. Compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls related to financial reporting is a key responsibility of this role. In addition to financial reporting, the Accounting Manager will oversee the general ledger management, ensuring the maintenance of the general ledger system, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes. This includes reviewing and approving journal entries, implementing internal controls to safeguard assets, and preventing fraud. The role also encompasses managing the accounts payable and accounts receivable teams, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections, while cultivating positive relationships with vendors and customers. The Accounting Manager will coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and government filings. Developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures in accordance with best practices is also a critical function of this position. As a leader, the Accounting Manager will supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment to achieve departmental objectives.
