About the position

As the Accounting Manager for a growing manufacturing company, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of the organization. This position is fully on-site in Hillsborough, NJ, and requires a strong background in accounting and finance. You will report directly to senior leadership and collaborate closely with the finance team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include managing the preparation of financial statements, overseeing the month-end close process, and handling accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily financial operations using QuickBooks, which includes generating invoices for accounts receivable, processing vendor payments, and reviewing credit card expenses. You will also manage sales and use tax compliance and filings across multiple states. Compiling monthly financial reports will be a key part of your duties, which involves preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts for prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and accrued expenses, as well as performing bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and completeness. Additionally, you will assist with the preparation of consolidated monthly financial statements and support external audit requests as needed. The Accounting Manager will also handle ad hoc financial reporting requests to aid in consolidated management reporting and collaborate with the corporate finance team to analyze and assess key business initiatives. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in preparing financial statements.
  • Experience managing month-end close procedures.
  • Experience overseeing accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
