The Accounting Manager position, based in Greeneville, TN, is a full-time and permanent role that reports to the CAR sub-cluster controller. This position is crucial for the local site as it involves the closing and preparation of monthly financial statements. The Accounting Manager will support local management and the Industrial Controller in analyzing monthly results and implementing improvement initiatives. The role emphasizes accurate monthly reporting, analysis and explanation of monthly results, and the development of internal controls. The Accounting Manager will manage and oversee month-end and year-end processes, monitor and analyze accounting data, and produce financial reports or statements. Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles is essential. The role also includes supporting external and internal audits, improving systems and procedures, and initiating corrective actions. The Accounting Manager will oversee the deliverables of the shared service center to ensure compliance and accuracy, meet financial accounting objectives, and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions. Additionally, responsibilities include fixed assets management and reporting, inventory management and costing, performing plant production and inventory monthly reconciliation, and reviewing monthly plant cost reports with the site manager. The position also requires providing various costing data and maintaining internal control procedures, along with ad hoc reporting as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee month-end and year-end processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years of experience with Manufacturing operations.
  • Proven work experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant or similar role.
  • Proficient in financial software such as SAP, database, and Google suite package.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing accounting.
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong systems/analytical skills.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Desire to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to self-manage and work with limited direction.
  • Drive and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Organized and able to effectively communicate points to his/her audience.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
