About the position

The Accounting Assistant/Contracts Clerk is responsible for maintaining all hospital contracts and preparing necessary documentation for both clinical and non-clinical contracts. This role involves coordinating with outside legal counsel for contract reviews and supporting the hospital during surveys and evaluations by providing contract information. Additionally, the position supports the accounting functions of the facility by ensuring organized contract files are maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains all hospital contracts and prepares necessary documentation for clinical and non-clinical contracts.
  • Coordinates with outside legal counsel for contract reviews.
  • Supports the hospital during surveys and evaluations by providing contract information.
  • Performs accounts payable documentation matching and verification processes efficiently and accurately.
  • Records vendor and expense account numbers on invoices to prevent improper charging.
  • Audits, reconciles, and processes monthly invoices and premium payments to vendors.

Requirements

  • Must be able to type a minimum of 35-40 wpm.
  • Minimum one-year experience in the Contracting or Accounting field.
  • Good communication skills are required.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Google Docs.
