About The Position
As an Accounting Operations Analyst at HUB International, you will play a crucial role in the operations department by providing a variety of operational accounting tasks and business analytics. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately compute, report, and verify numerical data while ensuring adherence to company policies and general accounting principles. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills who can effectively manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines. You will be expected to perform comparative periodic budget to actual variance analysis for specified branches and/or regions, conduct producer payable audits, and prepare and analyze periodic and ad-hoc business management reports as per management specifications. In addition to these core responsibilities, you will assume the responsibility for effectively researching, tracking, and resolving accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies. You will also monitor the premium finance agreement submission process to ensure timely funding and maintain effective communication and coordination with company personnel and management. Regular contact with other departments will be necessary to obtain and convey information or correct transactions. You will assist Accounting Department personnel as needed and keep management informed of area activities and any significant problems. This role may also involve some limited team lead responsibilities related to accounting principles, procedures, and reconciliation problems, depending on the organizational structure of the regional Finance Department.
