About the position

The Accounting/Payroll Specialist at Sumeru Inc. is responsible for managing payroll accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and performing various accounting tasks. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the payroll process within a publicly traded technology company.

Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll accounting functions including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and analyze balance sheet fluctuations and quarterly flux consolidations.
  • Conduct Bureau of Labor Statistics reporting for California, Vermont, and New York.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and company policies.
  • Utilize ADP WFN for payroll processing and compliance.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of payroll accounting experience.
  • 5 years of experience in publicly traded technology companies preferred.
  • Proficiency in ADP WFN (Smart Compliance).
  • Experience with payroll journal entries (bi-weekly, monthly, off cycles).
  • Strong skills in GL reconciliations and balance sheet fluctuations.

Benefits
