About the position

The Accounting Payroll Specialist at Midway Products Group, Inc. is responsible for preparing payroll in a multi-entity, multi-state environment under the supervision of the Payroll Supervisor. This role involves handling various confidential financial matters, ensuring accurate payroll processing, and maintaining payroll records and reports.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly & bi-weekly payrolls for multiple entities in various states.
• Reconcile federal, state, & local tax payments, child support, garnishments, and 401(k) payments.
• Maintain payroll spreadsheets/reports on a regular basis as required.
• Serve as a complete payroll backup for all company locations as required.
• Reconcile monthly bank statements.
• Type manual checks as required.
• Perform miscellaneous data entry and accounting assistance as needed, including expense reporting database information entry.
• Perform secretarial/clerical/administrative work as needed.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the Corporate Controller/Payroll Supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years payroll processing experience with payroll tax knowledge (multi-state environment preferred).
• Computer literacy.
