Heartland Dental is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Policy & Reporting Manager to join our team. This role will focus on Heartland's technical accounting, internal accounting policy development, and GAAP financial reporting. There is immense opportunity for growth within this role and it will have a high-level of interaction with various members of the Accounting & Finance Team. This position will report directly to the Director of Financial Reporting. As the largest dental support organization (DSO) in the United States, Heartland Dental supports over 1,700 dental offices across 39 states domestically. Our company is experiencing rapid growth, and we are looking for a dedicated and proven individual to join our Heartland Dental family. The Accounting Policy & Reporting Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and enhancing the efficiency of our financial reporting processes. In this position, you will prepare and research technical and financial reporting related matters as needed, including the implementation of new accounting standards. You will develop comprehensive accounting analysis and detailed workpapers to support the Company's position on significant transactions. Additionally, you will create, revise, and document Company accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and clarity. Collaboration in the development and documentation of accounting process narratives for significant classes of transactions will also be a key responsibility. You will analyze existing internal management controls, identifying gaps and proposing enhancements, and assess and recommend improvements to internal controls for greater efficiency and reliability. Regular project updates will be provided to the Accounting & Finance Leadership team, and you will effectively communicate complex accounting information to various Accounting & Finance Team Members. Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships throughout the organization as a trusted business partner is essential. You will support monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP financial reporting requirements, assist with the annual financial statement audit, and prepare debt compliance calculations and certificates. Additionally, you will contribute to ad-hoc or miscellaneous reporting projects as needed.
