About the position

As an Accounting Professor at DeVry University, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experiences of our students. In addition to teaching responsibilities, you will engage in course development and assessment support, keeping abreast of the latest developments in your field. Advising and mentoring students will be a key component of your role, as will supporting visiting professors and participating in group programs and initiatives. You will have the opportunity to select a pathway for leadership within the Teaching and Learning organization, contributing to areas such as the Center for Teaching Excellence, Faculty Leadership and Development, or Student Excellence. This hybrid position allows for flexibility in your teaching methods and engagement with students, aligning with DeVry University's commitment to innovative education.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver courses effectively across various modalities (42 - 47 credit hours)
  • Engage in scholarly activities, including course development and assessment support
  • Advise and mentor students
  • Advise and mentor Visiting Professors
  • Support group programs and initiatives
  • Select a leadership pathway to support the Teaching and Learning organization

Requirements

  • Doctorate Degree in the field being taught or a related field with 15 graduate hours in the field being taught
  • CPA or CMA certification required
  • All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent
