The Accounting Project Manager will lead and manage finance-related projects, ensuring they are planned, executed, and completed within set timelines and budgets. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams across the organization to deliver projects successfully, meet client expectations, and uphold established project methodologies and quality standards. The Accounting Project Manager will play a key role in driving the financial success of each project and contributing to the overall financial health of the Consulting Services Team. The Accounting Project Manager will be responsible for Project Management & Planning, Accounting, and Client Consulting activities as well as other tasks and duties outlined below. Responsibilities and Duties include defining project scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation to ensure clear project direction and objectives. The role requires the use of Agile methodologies to manage projects, promoting flexibility, continuous improvement, and timely delivery of goals. The Accounting Project Manager will oversee projects from micro (4-8 weeks), to short-term (3-6 months) to macro (6+ months), ensuring timely execution and high-quality outcomes. Regular tracking of progress, evaluating performance, and providing status updates to stakeholders are essential to maintain alignment and transparency. In addition to project management, the role involves analyzing project data to provide insights into performance and resource utilization, assessing and adjusting resource allocation as needed to optimize project efficiency. Risk management is also a critical component, where the Accounting Project Manager will identify and evaluate potential risks impacting project timelines, budgets, and outcomes, developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans. The Accounting aspect of the role includes creating and managing project budgets, tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and analyzing budget variances to ensure financial project targets are met. The Accounting Project Manager will prepare and manage financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making and planning. Client consulting responsibilities include managing projects for multiple clients, consulting with client leadership, providing staff training, and acting as the point of escalation and resolution for projects.
