About the position

The Accounting Project Manager at Oswald Companies will play a crucial role in the financial integration of newly acquired companies into the corporate structure. Regular updates will be provided to the CFO and other stakeholders regarding the progress of integration projects. The individual will also be responsible for identifying and mitigating financial risks associated with the integration process, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal controls. Additionally, the role involves assisting in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and reports, training and mentoring accounting staff from acquired companies, and preparing financial analyses of post-transaction impacts on revenue, expenses, and other related areas for use in budgets and forecasts. The use of analytics to make recommendations that drive improved data accuracy and validity is also a key component of this role. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage accounting projects related to the integration of acquired companies.
  • Collaborate with the corporate development team to understand the financial aspects of acquisition deals.
  • Develop and implement integration plans that align with the company's accounting policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and HR, to ensure a holistic integration approach.
  • Provide regular updates to the CFO and other stakeholders on the progress of integration projects.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with the integration process.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal controls.
  • Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting from a four-year college or university.
  • Four to seven years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing strong analytical skills, working on multiple projects with stringent deadlines.
  • Financial modeling and business intelligence experience.
  • Strong knowledge in the use of MS Excel including pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred.
