About the position

The Software Support Analyst role at a small accounting software firm involves providing support for accounting software to clients, primarily through phone and email communication. The position requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple support issues effectively, especially during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accounting software support over the phone and email.
  • Handle 20 to 30 support issues daily during the busy season (October - January).
  • Manage 2 to 6 support issues daily during the remainder of the year, focusing on documentation and company projects.
  • Assist clients remotely with installing the software.
  • Remotely log into clients' systems to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Prioritize matters assigned based on severity.
  • Provide feedback to customers on the progress and status of their reported issues throughout the resolution process.
  • Deliver accurate and detailed answers to questions related to the software product.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of experience supporting accounting/financial software or experience working as an Accountant at an Accounting Firm.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Self-managed and driven.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
