About the position

As an Accounting Technical Manager at ManpowerGroup, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the accounting functions of the division office. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Division Controller in managing the monthly closing processes, ensuring that financial reports are produced in a timely and accurate manner for both internal and external stakeholders. This position requires a strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills, as you will be expected to analyze financial data and maintain financial records in compliance with U.S. GAAP. You will also be tasked with researching accounting issues and collaborating with the Division Controller and Sox Director to recommend appropriate accounting treatments. In addition to these responsibilities, you will support Sox compliance by performing assigned Sox controls and providing additional compliance support to other division members as needed. Your role will also involve coordinating the development, design, and implementation of consistent global accounting and finance requirements at the Division Office, with a focus on enhancing controls, procedures, and process efficiencies. Maintaining a thorough understanding of business operations will be essential to comprehend the impact of various business events on external reporting requirements. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in accounting, particularly within multi-entity manufacturing organizations, and will be well-versed in GAAP and SOX compliance activities. Responsibilities

  • Manage division accounting monthly closing processes, resulting in timely and accurate financial reports for both internal and external users.
  • Analyze financial data ensuring financial records are maintained in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Research accounting issues and recommend appropriate accounting treatment in collaboration with the Division Controller and Sox Director.
  • Support Sox compliance by properly performing assigned Sox controls.
  • Provide additional Sox compliance support to other members of the division as assigned.
  • Assist with the coordination of the development, design, and implementation of consistent global accounting and finance requirements at the Division Office.
  • Maintain knowledge of business operations to understand the impact of business events on external reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting with extensive accounting experience in multi-entity manufacturing organizations.
  • 7+ years of accounting/financial reporting experience required, including advanced knowledge of GAAP in a multi-entity environment and previous experience in SOX compliance activities.
  • Advanced level proficiency with Excel, Word, and accounting-related software; specific experience with JD Edwards and Oracle is a plus.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial systems and interaction between financial and other systems.

Nice-to-haves
