About the position

Nimnicht Management Company is seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Automotive Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable/Accounting Clerk to join our family. With a proud history of 83 years serving the Jacksonville, Orange Park, and St. Augustine communities, we are a family-owned and operated dealership that values relationships with our customers and employees alike. This position is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting department, where you will be responsible for processing invoices received for payment and performing various accounting duties as assigned. As an Automotive Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable/Accounting Clerk, you will be tasked with posting purchase orders and invoices, reconciling vendor statements, issuing checks to vendors, and reconciling daily bank transactions. You will also handle credit card reconciliations, manage PayPal transactions, and assist with shipping and maintaining file storage. Additionally, you will post payments from charge customers, maintain sales tax certificates and W9 forms, and provide backup support for the receptionist. This role requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, as you will be managing important financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. We are looking for candidates who have a minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive accounting and a solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in automotive accounting
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
