About the position

The Accounts Payable Administrator at Volunteers of America Colorado is responsible for managing accounts payable, general bookkeeping, and maintaining financial records in accordance with agency procedures. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate financial operations within the nonprofit organization, which serves vulnerable populations in Colorado through various human service programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform all Accounts Payable functions including reconciling vendor statements and researching general ledger variances.
• Research prior payments and resolve payment issues with vendors.
• Process and reconcile monthly credit card statements.
• Maintain complex record-keeping functions requiring knowledge of bookkeeping procedures.
• Assist with daily reception and phone relief.
• Complete filing of payables records, including electronic filing.
• Handle cash for daily deposits.
• Demonstrate predictable and consistent attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field or equivalent relevant experience.
• One year of experience in accounting or other relevant administrative functions.
• Proficiency in the use of computer and office equipment.
