About the position

The Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk position is a full-time role focused on managing financial transactions and ensuring accurate accounting practices within a local company in Allentown. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and proficient in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks, to support the company's financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely
  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
  • Manage vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with payroll management and ensure accurate processing
  • Conduct double entry bookkeeping to maintain financial records
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Assist with internal and external audits related to SOX compliance
  • Utilize accounting software such as PeopleSoft, Ceridian, and Paychex for financial tasks

Requirements

  • Prior experience in public accounting or corporate accounting preferred
  • Proficiency in using accounting software like Ceridian, SOX, PeopleSoft, and Paychex
  • Strong knowledge of account reconciliation processes
  • Experience in payroll management is a plus
