About the position

The Accounts Payable Clerk/Receptionist position at Wentworth Tire involves managing vendor invoices, maintaining vendor accounts, and providing reception support. This role is essential for ensuring accurate financial transactions and maintaining a positive relationship with vendors while contributing to a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices, ensuring appropriate program/management approvals.
• Balancing monthly statements from vendors to ensure correctness before payment.
• Entering and uploading transaction reports and invoices into company databases.
• Perform monthly reconciliation in preparation for month-end close.
• Maintain a large number of vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Perform data entry associated with accounts payable.
• Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies.
• Open and stamp mail/invoices.
• Address and respond to vendor inquiries.
• Organizing and maintaining creditor and vendor files and corresponding with vendor and creditors.
• Responsible for the collection of vendors' W-9s.
• Answering the office phone and dispatching appropriately.
• Assist with the daily bank deposit.
• Minor posting of inventory.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
• Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skills.
• QuickBooks Online or similar software experience recommended.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• High degree of attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in customer service (5 years required).
• Experience with Microsoft Office (4 years required).
