About the position

The Accounts Payable Clerk at First Team Automotive Group is responsible for managing a variety of accounting tasks related to high-volume accounts payable. This role is essential for maintaining vendor relationships, processing payments, and ensuring accurate financial reporting as the organization continues to grow. Responsibilities

  • Prepares payments to vendors
  • Posts open invoices in accounts payable on a daily basis
  • Answers vendor inquiries
  • Researches and analyzes account discrepancies with supporting documentation
  • Prepares accounts payable reports/schedules
  • Maintains accounts payable files (example: obtain W-9's, invoices, statements, payments)
  • Reconciles statement and ledger while ensuring that payments are consistent with schedules
  • Assists in monthly closings
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Processes year-end 1099's

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • One to two years of experience in bookkeeping/accounting preferred
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong computer and internet skills
  • Strong attention to detail essential
