About the position

CV Resources is collaborating with a growing company in Meridian to hire an Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist. This position is designed for a detail-oriented and organized individual who will play a crucial role in managing various aspects of accounts payable, payroll verification, credit card reconciliation, and benefits administration. The successful candidate will ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. In this role, the Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist will be responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving accounts payable transactions to ensure the accurate and timely processing of vendor payments. Additionally, the specialist will oversee payroll verification processes, ensuring that all employee hours and compensation are accurately recorded and approved. It is important to note that this role does not involve payroll tax processing, allowing the specialist to focus on the verification and approval aspects of payroll. The position also includes responsibilities for reconciling company credit card statements, ensuring that all charges are valid and properly documented. The specialist will address discrepancies and resolve issues promptly to maintain accurate financial records. Furthermore, the role involves managing the administration of the company’s 401(k) plan, including employee enrollments, contribution adjustments, and coordination with the plan provider. Handling employee wage garnishments is another critical aspect of this position, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and timely processing. The Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist will also support the onboarding and offboarding processes for employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-provided benefits. This includes ensuring seamless transitions and accurate record-keeping throughout the employment lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and approve accounts payable transactions to ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor payments.
  • Oversee payroll verification processes, ensuring all employee hours and compensation are accurately recorded and approved.
  • Reconcile company credit card statements, ensuring all charges are valid and properly documented.
  • Manage the administration of the company’s 401(k) plan, including employee enrollments and contribution adjustments.
  • Handle the administration of employee wage garnishments, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and timely processing.
  • Support the onboarding and offboarding processes for employee benefits, ensuring seamless transitions and accurate record-keeping.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in accounts payable, payroll processing, and benefits administration.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and approving financial transactions.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in accounting and payroll software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Knowledge of 401(k) and garnishment regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
