About the position

The Accounts Payable/Payroll Specialist position is a full-time role based in Hutchins, TX, where the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process and payroll functions within the organization. The position also involves entering hours worked, processing payroll checks, and entering project codes for all accounts payable transactions. In addition to these core responsibilities, the Accounts Payable/Payroll Specialist will assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, collaborating with internal teams to address any issues or concerns related to accounts payable or payroll. Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate and timely payments

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related field
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including double-entry bookkeeping
  • Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks
  • Experience with QuickBooks payroll processing software
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficient in 10-key typing for efficient data entry
