About the position

CV Resources is working with a growing company in Meridian to hire an Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist! We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing various aspects of accounts payable, payroll verification, credit card reconciliation, and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures. In this position, you will be tasked with reviewing, verifying, and approving accounts payable transactions to ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor payments. You will oversee payroll verification processes, ensuring all employee hours and compensation are accurately recorded and approved. It is important to note that this role does not involve payroll tax processing. Additionally, you will reconcile company credit card statements, ensuring all charges are valid and properly documented, while addressing discrepancies and resolving issues promptly. You will also manage the administration of the company's 401(k) plan, including employee enrollments, contribution adjustments, and coordination with the plan provider. Handling the administration of employee wage garnishments will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and timely processing. Furthermore, you will support the onboarding and offboarding processes for employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-provided benefits, ensuring seamless transitions and accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in accounts payable, payroll processing, and benefits administration.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and approving financial transactions.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in accounting and payroll software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Knowledge of 401(k) and garnishment regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
