About the position

The Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk at Resolve Hrs is responsible for managing the financial processing of transactions for a manufacturing company based in East Chicago, IN. This role involves handling both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting the payment of invoices. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, able to work independently, and possess experience in the construction industry and union environments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full cycle Accounts Receivable function including deposits, collections, posting, and sending invoices and statements.
  • Process vendor invoices in the accounting system and obtain necessary approvals for payments.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of PO related invoices through the 3-way match process.
  • Reconcile A/R accounts and assist with vendor statement reconciliations.
  • Process and enter all A/P invoices and expense reports into the system, ensuring correct GL account coding.
  • Mail and distribute signed checks and assemble check payment advice to invoices.
  • Assist with the credit card process by gathering receipts from cardholders in a timely manner.
  • Review employee expense reports for accuracy and ensure receipts are attached and approvals received.
  • File, maintain, and distribute accounting documents, records, and reports.
  • Issue 1099's annually.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
  • At least two years of related experience required.
  • Three years' experience in accounting and/or similar roles is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers and 10-key calculators.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the construction industry and union experience is a plus.
