About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk to join our marketing agency specializing in the auto repair industry. This part-time role involves managing both accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting expertise and proficiency in QuickBooks, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage outgoing bills, invoices, and payments including utilities, inventory, credit cards, and reimbursements.
  • Update and maintain expenditure records to ensure timely payments and adherence to company policies.
  • Address vendor invoices and resolve payment discrepancies effectively.
  • Post payments and manage customer accounts in the accounts receivable process.
  • File deposit receipts and track invoice payments accurately.
  • Reconcile cash receipts and deposits to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Prepare reports on delinquent accounts and customer profiles for management review.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements as part of general accounting duties.
  • Perform month-end closing procedures to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Manage general ledger by coding and posting revenue, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
  • Conduct basic financial analysis and prepare reports as needed.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of detailed accounting experience.
  • Degree in Accounting preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Solid understanding of debits, credits, and general accounting practices.
  • Ability to handle accounting for multiple companies across various industries.
  • Must be able to work in-office in Ogden, UT.
