About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. This role is essential in managing the financial transactions of the company, ensuring accuracy in both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. The ideal candidate will have experience with accounting software and a solid understanding of corporate and public accounting practices.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions, including verifying invoices and ensuring timely payments.
• Manage accounts receivable functions, including invoicing clients and tracking payments.
• Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Maintain general ledger accounting by recording financial transactions accurately.
• Assist with payroll processing as needed, utilizing systems such as Ceridian.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
• Prepare reports related to accounts payable and receivable activities for management review.

Requirements

• Proficiency in accounting software such as PeopleSoft, Sage, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and public accounting practices.
• Experience with account reconciliation processes and techniques.
• Knowledge of accounts receivable procedures and best practices.
• Familiarity with payroll systems, particularly Ceridian, is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
