About the position

Our client is looking for a consultant to join their finance team as an Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist. This role is crucial for managing the full-cycle accounts payable and receivable processes within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both AP and AR, with at least two years of experience in each area. The position is temp-to-perm, meaning that there is a strong possibility for the contract to extend and convert a top performer into a permanent employee, especially with potential company acquisitions on the horizon. This is an excellent opportunity to join a global company and report directly to the Corporate Controller. The position requires 100% onsite work in San Jose, California, and follows a Monday to Friday schedule, totaling 40 hours per week. The pay range for this position is between $28 to $32 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Processing invoices: Receiving, processing, and verifying invoices
  • Verifying purchase orders: Ensuring purchase orders are correct
  • Reconciling discrepancies: Resolving any discrepancies in invoices
  • Preparing payments: Authorizing and scheduling payments to vendors
  • Maintaining records: Keeping accurate records of transactions for tax purposes
  • Financial data: Calculating, recording, inputting, or processing financial data
  • Invoices: Preparing customer invoices based on accounting procedures
  • Billing issues: Researching and investigating invoice discrepancies, handling customer inquiries, and working with other departments to resolve billing disputes
  • Payments: Matching payments to invoice numbers or sales orders
  • Reports: Generating receivables reports and submitting daily reports to management on accounts receivable operations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable
  • 2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable
  • 2 years of experience with Excel
  • 2 years of experience with Purchase Orders
  • 2 years of experience with 3-way matching
