About the position

The Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer billing, and maintaining the status of accounts. This role involves working with internal software to manage accounts receivable and payable, issuing invoices, and following up on outstanding balances. The specialist will also collaborate with international teams and provide detailed reports on billing activities.

Responsibilities

• Process customer billing accurately and on time according to company policy.
• Manage billing (AR/AP) processes using internal software.
• Monitor the status of accounts and outstanding balances, identifying inconsistencies.
• Assist in the completion and distribution of invoices with high accuracy.
• Issue and post bills, receipts, and invoices.
• Follow up on airline and trucking company charges and disputes, providing necessary backup documents.
• Verify and validate debit accounts before submission.
• Update accounts receivable database with new accounts or missed payments.
• Ensure clients are informed about their outstanding debts and deadlines.
• Write thorough reports on billing activity with clear and reliable data.

Requirements

• Intermediate Excel skills; advanced skills preferred.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Self-starter with proactive and organized work habits.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships with customers and carriers.
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a team setting.
• BA/BSc or HS Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• 2+ years of experience in logistics or freight preferred.
