About the position

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist to join our team at RPM Realty Management, LLC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial real estate and experience with Yardi software. This position is crucial for managing the financial transactions of our properties, ensuring that accounts payable and receivable processes are handled efficiently and accurately. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payments, managing communications with tenants and vendors, and providing essential support to property managers. In this role, you will utilize Yardi software to manage accounts receivable and payable, process payments including online sales tax, and file annual reports. You will also be responsible for communicating with tenants and vendors regarding delinquencies and Certificates of Insurance (COIs). Collaboration with RPM property managers, lease administrators, and leasing agents will be a key part of your responsibilities, as you assist them with various financial tasks. Additionally, you will process distributions and commissions, prepare manual checks when necessary, and manage utility turn ons and turn offs. Other miscellaneous tasks may include performing daily mail duties and purchasing office supplies. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be interacting with various stakeholders in the property management process.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts receivable and payable using Yardi software
  • Process payments, including online sales tax
  • File annual reports
  • Communicate with tenants and vendors regarding delinquencies and COIs
  • Collaborate with and assist RPM property managers, lease admins, and leasing agents as needed
  • Process distributions and commissions
  • Prepare manual checks when necessary
  • Set up utility turn ons and turn offs
  • Process water submeter billings through third-party companies
  • Perform daily mail duties
  • Purchase office supplies

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial real estate accounting
  • 2+ years of experience with Yardi software
  • Proficient in Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in commercial real estate is preferred
