About the position

The Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions at a new Li-ion battery factory in De Soto, Kansas. This role involves managing the AP and AR teams, ensuring accurate financial records, and implementing policies to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial transactions. The position is integral to supporting the company's mission in sustainable energy solutions and electric vehicle innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Define, develop, and implement collections and accounts receivable policies and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing of customer sales and processing of vendor invoices.
  • Monitor account status and follow up on delinquent payments.
  • Oversee forecasting, reporting, expense tracking, and budget contributions.
  • Implement standard operating procedures to maintain accurate financial records and control reports.
  • Monitor collection period and send follow-up inquiries regarding payments.
  • Negotiate with past-due accounts to resolve payment issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and evaluate accounting reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
  • Manage a team within the working group.
  • Support the monthly financial close process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Advanced literacy with Microsoft Office, especially Excel spreadsheets and database functions.
  • Knowledge of SAP (S/4), Oracle, or another fully integrated ERP system.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, including Excel and financial software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong customer service skills including excellent verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Flexibility and multi-tasking capabilities.
  • Highly organized and able to follow a systematic method of performing tasks.
  • Ability to collaborate and form teams.
  • Working-level knowledge of the English language.
