About the position

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing and paying invoices accurately and timely, ensuring high-quality customer service to both internal and external customers. This role is essential in maintaining the financial integrity of the company by handling high volume invoice processing, resolving discrepancies, and identifying process improvements. The position is hybrid, based in Richmond, VA, and requires a self-motivated individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• High volume invoice processing on an accurate and timely basis.
• Handle three-way match, coding, review and reconciliation of vendor statements.
• Research and resolve PO/invoice discrepancies.
• Provide quality customer service to internal and external customers.
• Identify ideas for process improvement.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree with emphasis in Accounting (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience and proficiency in an automated AP environment.
• Experience working in a Shared Services environment.
• Experience working with multiple ERP systems (3 or more).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Basic Windows proficiency.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong time-management, prioritizing and multi-tasking skills.
• Highest level of integrity and trust.
• Dedication to excellent customer service.
• Ability to work independently and effectively to meet deadlines and goals.
• Team player.
