About the position

The Accounts Payable Specialist I at OneStream is responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payments, and maintaining financial records in compliance with established policies. This role involves analyzing financial information, preparing reports, and resolving discrepancies, all while providing clerical and administrative support to the accounting team. Strong attention to detail and proficiency in Excel are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
  • Develop and maintain financial databases and computer software systems.
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close reports.
  • Assist in month-end closing.
  • Submit all bills after confirming appropriate documentation.
  • Process bills daily and review for accuracy and enter required data into the system.
  • Create internal bills.
  • Manage and maintain vendor files and records.
  • Assist with supplier onboarding and support Coupa Supplier Portal.
  • Resolve account discrepancies using vendor statements and related communications.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries about accounts payable.
  • Expense Reporting with Concur.
  • Assist with maintaining Credit Card receipts.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining documentation for processes and work instructions.
  • Responsible for Accounting Manual.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business administration, or relevant combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in accounts payable and general accounting experience.
  • Experience using financial computer software and applications (i.e. Coupa).
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial and employee files.
  • Proficient in data entry and management.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • High level of integrity.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong sense of customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to exercise independent judgment and problem-solve.
