About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in various accounting software. The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification, data entry, and payment processing.
• Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Maintain vendor relationships and respond to inquiries regarding payments and discrepancies.
• Assist with benefits administration as needed.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
• Prepare reports on accounts payable activities for management review.

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role is preferred.
• Familiarity with general ledger accounting practices is a plus.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
