About the position

The Accounts Payable Specialist will join the Corporate Finance team at Parametrix, a leading firm in engineering, planning, environmental sciences, and construction management. This role is essential for managing high-volume accounts payable tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, and supporting various financial processes. The position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for both in-office training and remote work flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Support invoicing and payment processing for various clients.
• Conduct bank account reconciliations and ACH processing.
• Track fixed assets and manage expense reporting.
• Ensure general ledger coding and compliance with GAAP and FAR regulations.
• Review entries and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy and internal control compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or 3+ years of relevant experience in accounts payable.
• Proficiency in BST10, Excel, Word, Adobe Pro, and Concur; experience with BST (or Deltek) and Sage FAS is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with internal and external clients.
