About the position

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments, and maintaining positive vendor relationships. This role involves reconciling vendor statements, assisting with month-end close processes, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve any invoice and payment issues. The position is temporary through March 2025, with the potential for temp-to-hire, and offers a hybrid work environment after an initial training period.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice review, coding, and processing for payment.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain positive vendor relationships and ensure timely processing of payments.
• Assist with month-end close processes by preparing AP-related reports and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve invoice and payment issues.
• Maintain and update records in accounting systems and support audit requirements as needed.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in accounts payable or related field preferred.
• Experience with Sage Intacct strongly preferred.
• Intermediate-level Excel skills, including the ability to use filters, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP functions effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with general accounting principles and AP processes.
