Accounts Payable Specialist

About the position

The Accounts Payable Specialist at CS Wind America is responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, vendor payments, and maintaining financial records. This role involves collaboration with the Supply Chain Management team and requires a strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to improve processes and maintain vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage the open AP list in partnership with Supply Chain Management and verify invoice processing correctness.
• Reconcile vendor statements.
• Create and submit Payment Approval requests as required.
• Execute AP Vendor Payments within vendor payment terms.
• Maintain check registers.
• Conduct sales tax reporting to local and state authorities.
• Accurately create and post AP journal entries.
• Maintain record keeping.
• Make recommendations for continual process improvement and ensure AP procedures are documented.
• Process and reconcile Credit Card Payments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of similar job experience.
• Proficient/advanced skills with MS Excel and ERP (SAP).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines consistently.
• Ability to establish and maintain strong business relationships with vendors.
• Excellent filing and record keeping skills.
• Comfortable with math and calculations.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability and willingness to problem solve independently.
• Strong work ethic.
• Willingness to support internal and external customers.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
