About the position

The Accounts Payable Specialist at First Hospitality is responsible for managing the accounts payable process within a high-volume, fast-paced corporate shared services accounting team. This role involves ensuring vendor information accuracy, timely payment of invoices, and supporting audit processes, all while working collaboratively with property accountants. Responsibilities

• Maintaining vendor files in the accounting database, including setting up new vendors and updating vendor information.
• Managing the TIN verification process for all new vendors.
• Auditing Accounts Payable batches submitted by hotel properties for accuracy.
• Entering invoices/vouchers received at the Home Office into the accounting system.
• Processing Capital Expenditure invoices from the Development Accountant.
• Generating reports for the Accounting team to review and approve.
• Submitting Positive pay files to the bank for checks issued.
• Managing weekly hotel disbursements and coordinating bank funding for electronic payments.
• Ensuring timely mailing of payments and reconciling vendor statements weekly.
• Handling vendor and internal inquiries regarding payments and accounts.
• Preparing annual 1099 Tax reporting and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Strong organizational skills.
