About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, and maintaining financial records. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and experience with QuickBooks financial software, as well as a solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify invoices for payment in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy in reporting.
• Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
• Collaborate with other departments to address payment inquiries and issues.
• Utilize QuickBooks financial software for processing payments and managing accounts.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations related to vendor payments.
• Support the accounts receivable team as needed.
• Provide administrative support to company CEO/leadership.

Requirements

• Proficiency in QuickBooks financial software application.
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and double-entry bookkeeping principles.
• Ability to analyze financial data effectively.
• Knowledge of debits and credits, as well as tax regulations related to accounts payable.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
