About the position

The Accounts Payable Specialist at Vector Security is responsible for managing the accounts payable process, which includes processing invoices, making payments, responding to vendor inquiries, producing financial reports, and maintaining supplier records. This role is essential for ensuring accurate financial transactions and supporting the company's operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Processing invoices by entering them into the system, verifying them, and charging them to accounts.
• Preparing checks, scheduling paychecks, and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit.
• Responding to vendor inquiries regarding finance.
• Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports.
• Filing and maintaining supplier records, and documenting payments.

Requirements

• High school diploma and/or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience in the accounting field.
• Proficiency in Excel, including complex spreadsheets; knowledge of D365 is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal and external customers and management.
• Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere and collaborate with multi-departmental personnel.
• Capacity to maintain confidentiality of company and personnel information.
