About the position

The Accounts Payable Specialist at Healthy Spot is responsible for managing the company's payables with precision and a positive attitude. This hybrid role involves working from home three days a week and collaborating with the team in the office for two days. The specialist will handle invoice processing, vendor communication, and maintain organized accounts payable files, ensuring smooth financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Review invoices, reconciliation, credits, and payment requests to ensure completeness, coding, and approval for payment.
• Handle data entry and ACH preparation, including reviewing credit card purchases and reconciling accounts monthly.
• Manage vendor inquiries and communication with store managers to resolve vendor-related issues.
• Analyze vendor accounts and manage terms when cash is tight, ensuring proper documentation is in place.
• Organize accounts payable files and provide data entry support for other accounting projects.
• Collaborate with the inventory team and retail management to resolve billing or receiving discrepancies.

Requirements

• Associate degree in accounting or at least two years of related experience (finance or business administration is a plus).
• One year of general accounting experience (preferred, but eager learners are welcome).
• Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff and vendors.
• Ability to handle confidential information and make sound decisions.
