About the position

The Accounts Payable Team Lead at ThompsonGas is responsible for overseeing the Accounts Payable team, ensuring accurate data entry and processing of invoices, and providing training on various accounting software systems. This role emphasizes leadership, problem-solving, and effective communication to enhance the efficiency of the Accounts Payable department.

Responsibilities

• Train Accounts Payable Team members on SAP Concur, SAGE Intacct, Cargas, C-3, Fleetio system data entry and/or review/research.
• Respond to Accounts Payable team members' issues and questions regarding data entry.
• Create/Run Bank of America Bank Reports Daily for posted electronic payments.
• Authorize or Deny Positive Pay ACH Exceptions from Bank of America.
• Enter electronic payments into Intacct from daily bank reports.
• Obtain missing invoices or information for payment.
• Monitor and review vendor statements for missing invoices.
• Data Entry of Payables into both SAP Concur and Intacct Financial Systems.
• Respond to payment status questions.
• Upload and import various Accounts Payable bills/invoices into Intacct.
• Contact vendors to obtain missing information from vendor record and/or new vendor set up forms and offer ACH payment.
• Reconcile various Accounts, i.e., Propane, Tanks.
• Specialist on GL Codes and Fixed Assets.
• Specialist on Purchase Order Process.

Requirements

• Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software.
• Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with accountants, vendors, and upper management.
• Good communication skills for communicating with support personnel and management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good presentation skills for educating internal clients on accounting principles.
• Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
