About the position

Eastern Computer Exchange is seeking an Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Manager to join its accounting team. This role is crucial for managing the entire accounts receivable life cycle and coordinating with the sales team and VP of Finance & Treasury for cash collections and payment projections. The position involves overseeing customer billing, collections, vendor bill processing, and ensuring timely payments, contributing to the financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Timely customer billing based on contractual agreements and matching to sales orders, ensuring correct application of sales tax / VAT.
• Customer collections and resolving customer disputes.
• Timely posting of vendor bills, ensuring accuracy and matching to purchase orders.
• Liaise with product partners on billings based on contractual agreements.
• Projecting collections and payables.
• Coding and recording of expense reports.
• Projecting cash receipts and cash payables.
• Assisting with ad hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

• 7+ years of proven experience in an accounts receivable role or similar position.
• Understanding of accounts payable and strong knowledge of accounting practices.
• Familiarity with GAAP principles is essential.
• Proficiency in Netsuite or comparable accounting software is required.
• Strong skills in account analysis, including debits, credits, and coding transactions.
• Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
