About the position

The Accounts Receivable Analyst will play a crucial role in the finance team by managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with proficiency in financial software and a strong understanding of accounting principles to support the organization's financial health.

Responsibilities

• Collects on delinquent B2B accounts by reviewing aging reports; phone/email past due customers and record cash collection notes.
• Review/release holding orders based on account status and company objective.
• Investigate disputed invoices with Customer Service/Sales to facilitate appropriate resolution.
• Informs Sales of delinquent accounts, provides history of collection efforts made, and other information to assist the salesperson.
• Serve as Team Lead for the department and functional back-up to Credit Manager.
• Assist Credit Manager with and/or complete special projects as assigned.
• Completes proforma, progress, standard and non-standard invoicing.
• Maintain permanent customer files, including tax certificates, credit reports, etc.
• Reviews credit limits and makes recommendations to Credit Manager to maintain correct level for accounts to reduce risk and improve collections activity and effort.
• Serve as back up for Cash Application on an as needed basis.
• Handles any other requests that would be required to accomplish tasks.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or similar role is preferred.
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Familiarity with double entry bookkeeping principles and practices.
• Experience with financial software applications is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of account reconciliation processes and account analysis techniques is a plus.
• Previous experience in billing in manufacturing, industrial or logistics is advantageous but not required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
