About the position

The Accounts Receivable Analyst position at Southeast Floors is responsible for managing and collecting all incoming payments, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and making banking deposits. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health of the company by tracking payments and addressing customer inquiries related to their accounts.

Responsibilities

• Collect and manage all incoming payments for Southeast Floors.
• Track payments and enter them into the database to maintain accurate records.
• Make banking deposits and prepare deposit batches using a local scanner.
• Mail newly generated invoices daily to customers for payment processing.
• Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
• Maintain records by scanning invoices, debits, write-offs, and credits.
• Receive mail with customer checks and post them to the accounting system.
• Email the Accounting department the total daily deposit at the end of each day.
• Review the Accounting inbox daily for questions and concerns from customers and sales reps.
• Call or receive calls from customers requesting history on units and send them invoices.
• Email payment requests or status of accounts daily after researching discrepancies.
• Send a welcome email letter when a new account is generated by billing.
• Serve as a back-up for Customer Service when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5 years of accounting experience required.
• 5 years of collections experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, with at least 1 year of experience.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and regulatory standards.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
