Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Clerk

About the position

The Accounts Receivable Clerk at Almor Constructors Inc is responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring efficient processing of all transactions. This role requires strong technical accounting skills and proficiency in financial software to support the organization's financial health.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing and payment processing.
• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions in the general ledger.
• Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Utilize financial software such as QuickBooks and Buildertrend for data entry and reporting.
• Assist with double entry bookkeeping and payroll tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments.
• Prepare reports on accounts receivable status and aging analysis for management review.
• Support month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.

Requirements

• Proven experience in technical accounting or a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with general ledger accounting principles is essential.
• Experience with financial software applications such as QuickBooks and Buildertrend.
• Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are required.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
