Accounts Receivable and Portfolio Manager, Federal Contracts - Hybrid

About the position

As Accounts Receivable and Portfolio Manager, Federal Contracts, you will be responsible for overseeing all Federal customer accounts. This includes managing accounts receivable, invoice submission, renewals, collections, account reconciliation, and problem resolution. The role requires close collaboration with Federal Contracting and MMS Contracting to drive performance and enhance the customer experience. Candidates must be able to work on-site 4 days a week in our San Diego, CA office.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily operational leadership and supervision to the Federal Dispensing Portfolio team.
• Offer one-on-one coaching, counseling, and development for Portfolio Specialists.
• Assist the Senior Manager with execution, goal attainment, and team development.
• Monitor accounts receivable balances and perform collection functions.
• Ensure timely payments by identifying and addressing operational issues with the end to end process.
• Resolve customer issues related to non-payment and conduct payment negotiations.
• Analyze and forecast bad-debt exposure.
• Business partnering with Contracting, Billing, Database, and Cash Applications teams to resolve invoicing and payment issues.

Requirements

• Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; business, accounting, or finance majors are preferred.
• Minimum 6 years in collections or account reconciliation, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Federal contracting and accounts receivable experience preferred.
• Three years supervisory experience required.
• Excellent customer service orientation and follow-through as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with accounting/accounts receivable systems and Federal portals preferred.
• Proven cross-collaboration and partnership skills.
