About the position

Hamden Rehabilitation and Health Care in Hamden, CT is seeking an Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our team! This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours of work per week, with shifts available from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate must have long-term experience in Accounts Receivable within a Skilled Nursing Facility. Our facility is a 153-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center that specializes in both short- and long-term care, including a secure memory care unit. We are conveniently located in the heart of New Haven County, close to Yale New Haven Hospitals and easily accessible from route 10. As an Accounts Receivable Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Business Office Manager with daily operations. Your responsibilities will include various clerical tasks such as filing, making copies, and handling phone calls. Strong organizational skills and excellent phone etiquette are essential for this role. Additionally, experience in long-term care, billing, and collections is required, along with knowledge of Medicare and insurance billing processes.
