About the position

The Accounts Receivable Associate I position at One Call Medical, Inc. is an entry-level role focused on the resolution of open aging accounts. The primary responsibility of this position is to research and address unpaid, denied, and partially paid bills, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the accounts receivable process. The role requires a basic understanding of accounts receivable functions and operates under close to moderate supervision. Associates will consult with senior peers to learn processes and rectify errors, gaining valuable experience in the field. This position is integral to maintaining the financial health of the organization by facilitating the resolution of receivables through various means, including reviewing coding, contracts, payment agreements, and authorization terms. In this role, the Accounts Receivable Associate will address denial and partial payment of invoices in a timely manner, utilizing appropriate collection workflow processes. They will also diagnose and report customer issues regarding rejection trends and denials to management, contributing to the improvement of end-to-end business processes. Interaction with both internal and external customers is a key aspect of the job, as the associate will work to resolve billing, cash, and claim discrepancies while maintaining accurate documentation of claim file activities. The position requires excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. The work environment is primarily sedentary, with the potential for repetitive motions, and may involve working from home or in an office setting. The role demands attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to follow instructions and prioritize tasks to meet strict deadlines and production targets. Responsibilities

  • Facilitate resolution of open receivables by reviewing coding, product, contract, payment agreement, fee schedule, and/or authorization terms.
  • Address denial and partial payment of invoices in a timely and accurate manner through appropriate collection workflow processes.
  • Diagnose and report customer issues regarding rejection trends and denials to management, working to improve end-to-end business processes.
  • Interact with internal and external customers to resolve billing, cash, and claim discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of claim file activities.
  • Address accounts receivable inquiries.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree (A.A. or A.S.) in Business, Finance or related discipline preferred.
  • Up to one (1) year of working in accounts receivable or equivalent experience.
  • Intermediate MS Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.
  • Excellent math skills.
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent follow-up and follow-through abilities.
  • Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multitask.
  • Must be able to follow instructions and prioritize to meet strict deadlines and production targets.
