About the position

Erickson Senior Living is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Associate to join our expanding team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate billing for resident healthcare services, which directly impacts our business operations. The A/R Associate will be responsible for preparing accurate pre-billing reviews, managing third-party billing processes, and posting cash for charges related to an assigned business line. This role requires a strong focus on customer service, as the A/R Associate will work closely with our A/R Help Desk team to provide exceptional support to residents and their families. In addition to billing responsibilities, the A/R Associate will conduct admissions and census reviews to ensure that resident accounts are set up correctly and billed in a timely manner. This includes completing follow-ups on third-party payments and reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy. The ideal candidate will have a background in healthcare accounts receivable, with a minimum of two years of experience in billing, collections, or cash posting. Alternatively, candidates with a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Healthcare Finance/Administration will also be considered. Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate pre-billing review for assigned business line.
  • Manage third-party billing processes and follow-up.
  • Post cash for charges related to resident healthcare services.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in partnership with the A/R Help Desk team.
  • Conduct admissions and census review to ensure correct billing setup of resident accounts.
  • Complete third-party payment follow-up and reconciliation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 2 years healthcare accounts receivable experience in billing, collections, cash posting, or other healthcare revenue cycle-related experience.
  • Graduation from an accredited 2-year college with coursework in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Finance/Administration or related field of study is acceptable.
  • Knowledge of Vision or other medical practice management systems preferred.
  • Current Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS-I) from the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM) preferred.
